Here Come the Hawks to the Chicago Golf Show

Four former Chicago Blackhawks will appear on stage during the Chicago
Golf Show, Friday through Sunday at the Stephens Convention Center,
Rosemont.
The four will hit golf balls and talk hockey while working with Illinois
PGA professionals on the Daily Herald Golf Academy Stage.
Troy Murray, former Blackhawks center, will work with Connie
DeMattia, Director of Instruction, Cantigny Golf Academy, at 1 p.m.
on Friday. They will be followed at 3 p.m. by Jerry King Kong
Korab, a former Hawk’s defenseman. Korab will work with Kevin
Weeks, Director of Instruction, Cog Hill Golf and Country Club.
At 11 a.m. on Saturday, Cliff Koroll, wing man with Stan Mikita,
will work with Louise Davis, also from Cog Hill. At 11 a.m. on
Sunday, former Blackhawk Grant Mulvey will take a lesson from Kurt
Uniek, Head Professional, Ravisloe Country Club.
Other celebrities appearing on the Daily Herald Golf Academy Stage
include The SCORE’s Dan McNeil. Dan will work at noon on Saturday
with Matt Vinge, Director of Instruction for TopGolf in Wood Dale.
At 1 p.m. on Saturday and at noon on Sunday will be the long driving and
trick shot show featuring Marty and Lisa Joyce. Special
programming for junior golfers will be offered on Saturday and Sunday
afternoons.
All adults who come to the Chicago Golf Show will receive a free round
of golf at one of 10 golf courses in Chicagoland managed by GolfVisions,
Inc
Also, show attendees will be eligible for hundreds of great golf prizes
awarded hourly at the show and a free subscription to Golf Digest
magazine, available in booth 1122. Hundreds of golf bargains are
available on clubs, balls, shoes, apparel, training tools and golf
vacations from 300 exhibitors.
IPGA teaching professionals will give free 15-minute swing and putting
lessons.
Chicago’s Largest Demo Days features golf clubs from nine manufacturers.
Attendees can compete in a new Long Drive contest sponsored by Krank
Golf and in Chicago’s Longest Putt contest.
Show hours are: noon to 7 p.m. Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and
9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Adult admission to the show is only $5 on
Friday and $10 on the weekend. Youngsters ages 12-15 pay $4; children 11
and under are free.
